But, if I see a dasher (and it’s always clear that it’s a dasher, they’re showing the screen/order) I take a moment from what I’m doing to get them their order without waiting. It's rare, but it does happen. The first driver could've simply contacted DoorDash Support, support would've confirmed with the store that someone picked up the order, and that driver could've gotten paid for the time lost. My goal is $800 a month, which I make in about 15-20 hours a week. Deduct the roughly $200 a month for gas, and it's $600 in my pocket. I wouldn't want to depend on it full time though. I see many posts on here about a dasher waited 30 minutes plus at a restaurant for an order etc. I will NEVER wait more than 10 minutes, and if I get a vibe from the employees that it would be any longer of A wait I unassign the order immediately and go about my day.
