Just bought a recoil start to add to a 2008 Honda Rancher 420 ES 4x4 after getting left with a broken starter in the woods. Ive been through a variety of forum posts about the recoil starter on these forums but cant find anything regarding an update sticker to the manual that came with my kit.i would start with making sure the battery's 100% get it load tested, adjust the clutch, pull apart the electrical connections clean and die-electric grease them and pull apart the shift motor it may need a cleaning. 02 foreman 450 ES.
