The Society for Collegiate Leadership & Achievement is a multidisciplinary honor society with 90,000+ members at over 650 universities and colleges nationwide. I received an E-mail a few days ago to my college E-mail address from something called The Society for Collegiate Leadership & Achievement (SCLA). The letter read that they had nominated me for membership in their organization, presumably because of outstanding academic achievement or something. Nomination to SCLA? So I just received an email telling me that, due to exemplary GPA, I've been nominated to join the UofM Society for Collegiate Leadership and Achievement. I've never heard of this group before, and my GPA isn't actually that strong. Can anyone else tell me if this is legit? It's probably a legitimate thing, but worthless. ELIGIBILITY. Membership in SCLA is a distinction for undergraduate and graduate students whose academic success demonstrates their commitment and drive.
