I'd imagine once they get to the point of proper staffing (they were way under in 2022) hiring will settle around that amount. They'll maybe be a little heavier for training float but I can't imagine a world where we are hiring 2,000/yr for several years. Trying to remain level headed and not get my hopes to high but hopefully an interview invite will soon follow.
