DayZ has more longevity than rust. You can play less time on DayZ because you can log out with your loot and cant lose it whilst logged off. Rust is just a huge commitment, you have to log on pretty much everyday so you don't lose your base. Discussion. So whenever i want to direct connect to a server so i can have it show up in the recently joined tab and easily download the mods, i type in the ip and the port into the designated boxes and i click connect but nothing happens. It just closes the direct connect window and that's it. Anyone else having this issue?

From what I'm hearing, you are playing vanilla. You don't seem to understand that DayZ is a Survival game first, and a pvp/rpg second. The "learning curve" of DayZ is surviving long enough to get to the top of the map where all the loot is.There are cheats showing players positions, aim bots, which are very hard to notice, even in community servers. As a player you hardly can notice a single advantage while.everything else looks okay. Also, cheaters open and close their cheats as they wish, for example, some open them only when entering to a hot zones or hear a gun shot.Time-wise, the fastest way is to boil in two cooking pots on a fireplace in a house. The best way to cook food is inside a cooking pot. Fill it with water, you boil whatever's inside. Then the water is safe to drink. Otherwise you need fat to cook them, just like with a frying pan. Works the same way in a cooking pot.

When told to use the vanilla launcher, DZSA users seem to become salty and refuse to do it, mostly without a legitimate reason for doing so. Chernarus is still my favorite, but have been spending sometime checking out Esseker and Chiemsee. Both have very good chances of being one of the best modded maps, with great potential and variety in landscapes available in one map. Not many servers right now running Chiemsee map in NA zone (seem more popular in EU).
