It first had problems with clutch, then front differential, so I sold it and purchased a Yamaha Viking EPS and I have had it nearly a year with no problems it shifts gears real good, and no problems with clutch and e wheel drive.Only owned it for a week and was curious if this is normal. When in gear and from a stop - it takes some rpm to get it to engage and when it does its a fairly decent jerk. Not very predictable. You didn't damage it, but you are suffering from a very common problem with JD Gators in general. The Primary clutch is sticking. Basically as the clutch warms up during operation friction increases within causing the clutch halves not to fully disengage.
