I'm using Remington STS #8 2-3/4" ammo and the friction ring is set for light loads. The Field Service Manual doesn't cover broken pins in the "common problems" section. That said, MGW has Auto-5 firing pins for $87.25! However, if you go to their "Clearance" page, you can get the same part for $29.

Mine does like the Federals and reloads at a solid 1200 fps. Shot it for a year as is, and shot it extremely well one of the best handling guns I own. Even though it is not a clays gun at 6 lbs. handles fantastic and recoil with 1 oz. loads is almost non existent. And I am recoil sensitive.
