Recently have been invited to the NSCS after they supposedly got information of my GPA for the Fall Quarter and now have been invited to be a part of their program. Just wanted to know if this (or any "collegiate scholars" program) is worth the $100 dollars they are asking of me. Nope. Especially when you have to pay an initiation fee. Which is completely fair! But be aware there are many honor societies especially in college that are prestigious and still require a fee..It is a legit business, but a money grab that goes after desperate students and their parents who are trying to find ways to pay for college. Trash it and use free scholarship websites. In the end, best to look elsewhere. You can search for scholarships, etc for free at other sites. You have to pay them money to be a member, and the only notable perk (in my opinion) is that you get access to more scholarships, however why would you pay for access to scholarships when you could apply for scholarships that don't require you to pay anything?
